I’m delurking myself because I had to thank you for this song. I can’t believe there are NO other instruments but her voice.

And also, it also perfectly explains my life at the moment as well, so it was almost therapeutic to hear it.

fantastic song. I’ve never heard any of her work before, but I’m a fan now for sure.

I’ve been having these same feelings lately; everything just comes so fast and then, in a whir, it’s gone but I’m still running, onto whatever comes next. Slowing down is more a discipline than something to just do, though; it’s hard. I need to find me some sitting goose skills. Seriously.

There are some songs that I still can’t listen to even to this day: the stuff I listened to with my ex all the time, the song I was hearing when I learned my grandpa died, and then there are the celebratory songs that always make me smile, like the ones playing the first time I had sex, or the stuff I listened to on my last road trip, etc.

Music IS symbolism, more often than you’d think. You can pinpoint your exact locations on a certain date in history based off of a song you heard at the time. And of course, some of them have the full potential to create introspective, life-changing moments.

And wow, this comment is kinda long. Sorry ’bout that.

Okay, Barbie, first I want to tell you that your depth inspires me…I always thought Barbies were airheads. LOL

Seriously, though, I found the song beautiful and haunting, and probably even more meaningful because I am 36 and feel like my life is passing me by and I am missing so much. Thanks for sharing the song and your heart.

Oh, and I believe it was a random goose. Probably a hungover goose who couldn’t really get up.

Lastly, I think you need the red and white flowery dress that Emmy was wearing and under the beautiful skirt you could wear your strappy sexy red Barbie shoes.
