“Embrace the ones you love….”
…by having Valentines day throwup on a perfectly good aisle on January 5th.

(I realize this may come across as being bitter and cynical. I’m really not, I just think this is a BIT excessive, no?)

Actually we stopped at our WallyWorld on Dec 26th and they had already put this nasty aisle up and all signs of X-mas was gone already.
I do think it’s ridiculous.

I wish Valentine’s Day would just disappear. It’s always depressing.

Does anyone outside of elementary school children still care about that vapid holiday?
January 7, 2009 at 10:37 am
i suppose this would be an appropriate post to invite you to my anti-valentine’s day party this year? it is going to be a blast!
(yes, this is a real invitation, although no, i am not bitter) lol
January 7, 2009 at 10:52 am
Target had this stuff on the 27th. Blech.
January 7, 2009 at 11:46 am
I am bitter and cynical and its definitely excessive.
January 7, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Excessive is putting it mildly!
January 7, 2009 at 1:23 pm
i was wondering when they were gonna start with V’Day as they start everything 3 months in advance…
and I agree with jackie. it’s just a very depressing day.

I have only ever once had a valentine on v-day and it was completely by accident. An ex was in town and neither of us wanted to be alone so we went to a movie. But otherwise- it’s a depressing holiday.
January 7, 2009 at 1:44 pm
wow, that isle is totally unnecessary. fuck that.
January 7, 2009 at 3:37 pm
I love the fact that it starts at $1 and gradually goes up. To show how much you love.
Aisles like that make me wanna cry. And vom. But mostly cry
January 7, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Well, it ony costs one dollar. Nothing excessive…
I am so glad I will be at dance camp on the day.
January 7, 2009 at 3:53 pm
vom.
that is all.
January 7, 2009 at 3:56 pm
TOTALLY excessive!
Fuck Valentine’s Day.
January 7, 2009 at 5:12 pm
I totally agree!
Except I have to admit… I do appreciate them grouping everything by price. I love organization like that.
January 7, 2009 at 6:51 pm
Valentines day is another excuse to feel sorry for oursevles as our expectatios are never met – oh my – do I sound like a bitter bitch or what? I should give props to my hubby as he does try to fulfill the day somewhat but over the years I’ve learned to treat VD just like the other VD – avoid, avoid, avoid…..
January 7, 2009 at 8:19 pm
I AM bitter and cynical.
So I agree wholeheartedly.

Ugh. I work at a grocery store and it had to be about three days after Christmas and the poor stock boys were already filling the shelves with that crap while we were still trying to get rid of all our post Christmas stale cookies and fruit cake.
January 8, 2009 at 3:43 am
Oh, seriously. I just roll my eyes and keep walkin’.
January 8, 2009 at 10:23 pm
Ahhhh! And so it begins already, lol!
Nothing says “I Love You” like old candy!
Damn. Now I want super-dark-make-your-jaws-tingle-chocolate.
January 13, 2009 at 3:17 pm
I’ve decided to be my own Valentine since I’ll be out of the country alone.
YAY! Who said the Valentine you spoil on the 14th has to be someone else? And I LOVE chocolate and roses!!!
